Shiva pierced the three worlds as a huge endless pillar of light, the jyotirlinga. Vishnu and Brahma split their ways to downwards and upwards respectively to find the end of the light in either directions. Brahma lied that he found out the end, while Vishnu conceded his defeat.

Nice post. Culturally enriched and still rooted in modern life, Rajkot is the city that was home to Mahatma Gandhi during his childhood years. His erstwhile home has now been converted into Gandhi Smriti, a museum curating his photographs from infanthood and daily items which were once used by him. Another museum worth visiting is the John Wattson Museum, which has artifacts recovered from Mohenjo-Daro, and 13th century scriptures. Check out Swaminarayan temple also.
